On August 27-30 I traveled back to Big 3 Studios in Clearwater, FL. I worked on the Theme Song for the movie “A Fonder Heart,” with the multi-platinum producer Gary Carolla (Aaron Carter, NYSC). I learned a lot from Gary‘s technique, it really helped me with my lower range. Thank you Gary! The song is not finished yet, but I am still working on it. I will keep you updated.

I visited the Bahamas for a week (August 19-24) for a family vacation and to attend the Miss Universe Pageant. It was nice to kick back and spend some quality time with my parents. With my lifestyle and the fact I live in NYC and they are still in Florida, we don’t get a lot of time to relax. This was very much needed.

The Bahamas was so beautiful. I had an opportunity for the first time to, jet ski and eat sushi. I love jet skiing and am still wondering why I never tried it before. I also found out I like sushi, only in “small amounts.” I also had the chance to interact with the Dolphins at the resort. They are some of the smartest animals on earth, not to mention beautiful. I was a little hesitant at first to touch them because, they were so silky and seemed so fragile. Although after seeing them flip and twirl, I had a chance to get a few pictures and a hug from our Dolphin “Echo.”

On August 23rd I attended the Miss Universe Pageant. It was very exciting to see all of the girls compete. I was very impressed with how intelligent these young women were, they all carried so much grace. One of my favorite experiences was having an opportunity to meet Donald Trump. He was one of the most handsome and striking men I have ever seen. The power he had when he walked into a room was mind boggling, no one could take their eyes off him. I was excited he took the time to take a picture with me.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. When I was at the airport on my way back home, I had a chance to meet Heidi Montag who was the performer at the Miss Universe pageant as well as a reality star from “The Hills.” She was very sweet and so was her husband Spencer.

I returned to NYC on July 19 for the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts for film and television orientation at 5:00 PM. I attended the summer program for a month (July 19-Aug. 14) arriving to school from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every week day. The classes I took were Chekhov Techniques, Stage Combat, Shakespeare, Voice Over, Commercial, and Scene Study. It was a very intense, but I loved every minute of it!

I consider the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts to be one of the best acting experiences I have ever had. As an actor it helped me open up my imagination and experience a scene like I would in real life. Not only the teachers were incredible but my group of sixteen peers that I saw every day. The energy and emotional drive of each individual made this experience one to be remembered.

I recommend the school to anyone serious about acting. For more information check out their website: www.sft.edu. Thank you to all of my acting teachers for the knowledge you have bestowed.
