Bunny Bella

Bunny Bella

My Bunny Bella has been with me since Aug. 2009. I named her Bella for in Italian it means beautiful. She is the coolest bunny, she follows me around my apartment, hops up on my lap when I am watching TV and loves eating my homework and music. I should have named her Houdini because she can escape from anywhere.

I missed her while on Christmas Break, she stayed in NYC.  I have a great neighbor who helped watch her for me.  Other than a few escapes and part of my carpet magically disappearing from her play area, she was very well behaved.

I can’t believe I’m 20!  Of course my mom thinks I’m still her baby and my dad has elevated his thinking to I’m his little girl and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I had my party at a really nice restaurant.  It was exciting to have my Grandpa, Dad, Mom, Aunt Patti, Uncle Hayes, Great Aunt Daisy, Sherri (Wezzy), Little Nate, Peewee (of course that’s his nickname), one of my mom’s best friends and my Good Luck charm, Becky and her husband Jene.  We had a very nice meal, but we all left room for cake.

I’m posting my cake and if you noticed it has candles that say 22, it’s a family joke.   I opened my gifts and finished the evening with more cake.  It’s was a wonderful Birthday!

I spent Christmas and my Birthday in California visiting my Grandpa and family. It was nice to spend time with my family, since I haven’t seen them for a long time. Christmas morning was exciting and I loved opening my gifts.

That night we had a wonderful homemade dinner with some of my favorite foods in the whole wide world. I love green been casserole, pistachio pudding and ham with pineapple. I could live off of Holiday foods.

On December 27th, I said “Goodbye!” to my teenage years. I finally turned 20. It was such a pleasure to be surrounded by 11 friends and family members who sang Happy Birthday to me.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Break and had a chance to kick back and relax. See you all next year!

I love the Metropolitan Opera and as a member of the Young Associate Program, I love attending the events. The Young Associate Program is described best as “A group of dynamic young music lovers who share an interest in meeting fellow opera fans, making friends and learning more about this spectacular musical and visual art form.” (www.metoperafamily.org) Here’s a quick recap from a few 2009 Events I attended:

+October 8 Metropolitan Opera Series Overview Jonathan Friend
Jonathan Friend has been the Artistic Administrator of the Metropolitan Opera for more than 20 years. He is
responsible for the artistic planning and coordination of the performance and rehearsal schedule. It was exciting to meet him
and hear about the artistic process of putting an opera together.

+October 14 Tosca at the Metropolitan Opera
There was a lot of negative talk about the new modern staged production of Tosca. I enjoyed the singers, it was definitely
different with the minimal settings. I personaly prefer elaborate costumes and scenery but I enjoyed seeing something
different.

+December 16 Tales of Hoffman at the Metropolitan Opera
Tales of Hoffman was by far one of the best Operas I have seen at the Met. WOW! All the singers were phenomenal. I was
also excited to Anna Netrebko live for the first time, she was amazing! I was so inspired by this performance
I was glued to the staged.

I was really excited to see my picture on the cover of Supermodels Most Beautiful issue this December.

Here is a picture that was very similar to what was used.  I hope you like it.  I loved the green gloves!
